I have just checked the fixture list for malvern Town and they are at home that day, so sadly I will not be able to make Clevedon till too late. I am sure you will get some decent images there it is beautiful

Some inspiration from one of my favourite photographers

So far we have:

PeterR, JulieR, MarkH, DavidT, Bill Cr (?), Marilyn NS, PaulR, MavisL

First forecasts for Saturday 16th are now starting to come through and early indications are that it will be more of the same (i.e. cool, showery, breezy). We will definitely go ahead unless the weather is awful (i.e. rain that is forecast to continue all day).

A few people have asked me about kit. Bring a tripod if you have one. On lenses, I would bias towards 28-80mm full frame, 14-40mm micro 4/3rd, 16-55mm APSC. Also worth considering a telephoto zoom (e.g. 70-200mm full frame). Definitely worth bringing a 5 stop ND filter or 10 stop ND filter if you have one. A circular polarizing filter is also worth considering.

Roger/Cliff/Linda: Sorry you can't join us this time. Hope you will be able to make the Welsh waterfall trip in October.

Hi Peter

Keen, and 90% likely to be able to come on Saturday.

If so then I will have a space for someone in my car.

I thought I might make the Cleveden Trip but I think I would be wiser to give it a miss. Sorry. Have a nice time. Look forward to seeing the results!

Are we still leaving at 9.30am from the Vale? Still travelling down from the Lake District last night so not at the club.

Yes, just to be clear - the plan is still to meet at 09:30 at The Vale car park. Marc B is travelling direct so we will meet him there. Latest forecast I have seen shows reasonably sunny in the morning with light showers late afternoon and more persistent rain in the evening. If this does turn out to be accurate, we will probably head home about 5:30. The forecast seems to change by the hour, so we will have to make a judgement on the day as to whether it is worth staying on for some early evening shots.

Thank you for the info Peter, have just read the Met office forecast for Clevedon beach and it implies cloud and sunshine at 6pm and cloud and light rain at 7pm! They also show rain in the town from 5pm so it is a case of wait and see.
