Time and Time Again

I have not visited it yet, but I have been strongly recommended the Exhibition, “Time and time again”, which is on at the Take 4 Gallery in Ledbury, until February 4. The friend who recommended it is an outstanding photographer, especially in the abstract and contemporary genres, so I am sure it will be good. The one qualification I would add is that Pat Barkley’s work includes a mixture of photography, collage, and embroidery, so I don’t know how much photography is in it, and it may be of more interest to some members than to others. Apparently the collage work began when one of her art students complained that he/she could not afford materials. To demonstrate that art need not cost anything, she cut up a newspaper colour supplement and made an image, and liked the result enough to continue doing it. But I am told there are also photos.
