Take a look at the Epson EcoTank printers.  Good print output and bulk ink bottles. However, they are limited in that they use only 4 or 6 colours of ink, which limits the colour quality of prints somewhat.  Ideally, for photographic work, you should be looking at printer that use 8 or 10 colours but I can't bring one to mind which offer bulk ink tanks.  Canon make some cracking printers in that category but their smaller printers use small ink tanks = higher cost.  Whatever you choose to do, I would certainly suggest that you go for an A3 version - not much more money and would be much more versatile.
