The Club achieved the status of a full charity as of the AGM in 2019, registered number 1183689 with the UK Charities Commission. An edited version of the constitution of the club was modified and offered to the CC in late 2018 so as to achieve this and the changes were ratified at the 2019 AGM.

Recognition of the charitable nature of the club by the Charities Commission allows us to take advantage of the claiming of gift aid from HMRC which is a substantial 25% of all subscription income received. All funds received by the club are applied for the benefit of the club and its members, no-one in the club benefits financially from its activities.
